"Rules of Thumb" and "Trade Limitations"

Estimating the value of your item.

At WebExch, once you join, money never has to be used again!  Everything is assigned "points" that are used instead of cash.

Usually points will not come out exactly right, so you can decide if it is close enough, or agree to offset the point value by exchanging cash with the person with whom you are trading.   This is strictly between the two people trading.  It's entirely up to you how it is handled.

We will advise you, however, to check the history of a person before blindly trusing them.  Keep that in mind during your transaction.

Below are some examples of points and how they are used.

Nothing to trade
  • Points should be estimated at APPROXIMATELY $1.00 each.
  • You should estimate the USED price of your item, not the NEW "still in the shrink wrap" price... unless it is, indeed, new and still in the shrink wrap.
  • As long as you are in the ballpark, you might want to just "call it even."  This is entirely up to you.  YOU should be satisfied with the equity of the trade.
  • Once an item is listed, it will remain in the listing for SIX MONTHS or until you have traded the item, or until you remove the item.

Trade Limitations.
